 Using the Power of Introspection

We often find ourselves in situations where we do something someone else wanted—not what we wanted. Somehow, our power was taken from us. And the worst part? We were the ones who gave it away.

The moment we recognize that what holds power over us is not the thing itself, but rather something or someone with whom we have an incomplete relationship, we begin to see why we remain trapped. We resist certain experiences, not because they define us, but because we fear repeating them. We know where they lead, and so we avoid them. But in doing so, we unknowingly keep ourselves bound to them.

It is only through introspection—through the ability to recognize what pulls at us and why—that we can spot the seed of an idea planted deep within us. An idea that has grown, taken root, and shaped our choices, often without our conscious awareness. Once we uncover it, we can begin to deal with what grew from it.

This is how we free ourselves from the cage—not necessarily one we built entirely, but certainly one we placed ourselves in. And worse, one we chose to remain in.

So, rather than asking why do I keep doing this?, ask what is unfinished within me that makes me feel like I have no choice?

Break free. Dare to use the power of introspection. Dare to see the truths you’ve been avoiding. Because that confrontation will set you free.

Start small—observe the minor influences, the subtle pushes and pulls. Over time, work your way up to the deeper roots. Build the confidence, the skill, and the resolve to keep going.

And that is how you choose to live, rather than simply experience life.
